Lincoln punish 10-man Blackpool as Tom Bayliss stars in 4-1 win

Bayliss scored the second and quickly set up the third for Rob Street after Zac Ashworth’s dismissal.
Lincoln progressed to the third round of the EFL Cup after a 4-1 victory over 10-man Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
The two teams had been evenly matched through goals from Tanto Olaofe and Leighton Clarkson, before a Zac Ashworth sending-off for a second bookable offence shifted momentum towards the Imps after the break.
Within three minutes of being handed a man advantage, both Tom Bayliss and Rob Street found the back of the net, with Callum Elder later adding his name to the scoresheet as well.
Lincoln’s opener was a gift, with a loose Hayden Coulson back-pass giving Olaofe time and space to slot home.
On the cusp of half-time, the Seasiders pulled themselves level with Clarkson producing a quality free-kick across the face of goal to find the bottom corner.
Following the restart, Ashworth was given his marching orders and Blackpool were behind again, after a well-taken finish from Bayliss from the edge of the box.
That lead was swiftly extended, with Street heading home at the front post from a Bayliss corner.
Heading into the closing stages, Elder finished things off with a controlled finish across the face of goal after being left in space.
