Teenager Tugra Turhan denied Leicester victory.

A clever strike from Tugra Turhan frustrated Leicester by earning Stevenage a 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium.

The teenager, on loan from Istanbul Basaksehir, marked his league debut for the visitors by scoring the equaliser with 12 minutes remaining after combining with fellow substitute Chem Campbell.

Russell Martin’s side had led twice but could not record a fourth win in five.

Despite making a fast start, when Sammy Braybrooke netted his first senior goal for the club after only 67 seconds when Stevenage failed to deal with a Luke Thomas cross, City handed their opponents a route back into the game.

Brittle defending has become a trademark for the hosts of late and the chain of events which allowed Ben Broggio to restore parity in the 22nd minute was every bit as calamitous as Stevenage’s attempts to clear Thomas’ cross.

After seeing Alex McCarthy spill the ball at Broggio’s feet as he tried to gather Phoenix Patterson’s centre, City regained the lead in the 66th minute when Tommy Setford turned Will Alves’ shot into Kamari Doyle’s path and the midfielder converted.

But Turhan pounced with an angled effort to deny the Foxes victory.
