Bradley Barcola looks Liverpool-bound following breakthrough in talks with PSG

The Reds have agreed to pay a basic £106million for the France international, the Press Association understands.
Liverpool have agreed a £123million deal with Paris St Germain for forward Bradley Barcola, the Press Association understands.
The Reds have agreed to pay a basic £106m for the France international and up to an extra £17m in potential add-ons.
The 23-year-old is now expected to undergo a medical in the coming days, with a view to completing a move to Anfield before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Barcola, a member of the PSG squad that has won back-to-back Champions League titles, has been the Merseyside club’s top target throughout the summer.
PSG had initially wanted £145m for the player, which was more than Liverpool were willing to pay, but there was a breakthrough in negotiations earlier this week.
Barcola, who scored three goals at this summer’s World Cup, joined PSG from Lyon in a £38.6m deal in 2023.
Barcola did not attend Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday and manager Andoni Iraola did not update on the deal after the game.

He said: “I cannot tell you anything right now. There are still things going on at this moment.
“Now we have to wait and look forward to having the squad on September 2, when this is who we are and can work with certainties.
“Now everything is quite uncertain and it is the same for every team. We have to wait some days and work with what we have after the market closes.”
