Aaron Collins scores four as MK Dons hammer Doncaster

Aaron Collins scored four goals as MK Dons thumped Doncaster 6-1 at Stadium MK.

Collins struck an early double and although Doncaster’s Jordan Thomas pulled one back, two more strikes from Collins plus further goals from Callum Paterson and Marvin Ekpiteta helped MK Dons make it four wins from five matches.

The Dons scored inside two minutes when Collins picked up Ekpiteta’s pass then drilled home his 10th league goal of the season.

Collins then scored another after 22 minutes. Ryan Wintle intercepted the ball and set up his team-mate to beat Rovers keeper Tommy Simkin.

Rovers halved the deficit after 64 minutes as Brandon Hanlan touched the ball back for Thomas to finish.

However, Collins secured his hat-trick after 69 minutes when he received Jack Sanders’ long pass before cutting inside and scoring, and the Welshman added another seven minutes later as he scored from Ben Wiles’ pass.

MK Dons made it five in the 81st minute as Paterson converted the rebound after Simkin denied Charlie Goode, and the win was sealed after 89 minutes as Ekpiteta scored after Paterson hit the post.
