Wolves face fixture shake-up after cup date confirmed
One match has been moved at short-notice.
Wolves have seen their September fixture schedule shaken up with the home visit of Portsmouth moved back a week.
The match, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, will now take place on September 16 (kick-off 7.45pm).
Cesar Peixoto’s team will instead now visit Everton on September 9 in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
That is to avoid a clash with Liverpool who, like their Merseyside rivals, were drawn at home.
But because the two teams cannot play on the same night, it is the Everton-Wolves fixture which has moved forward, with Liverpool due to be in Champions League action on the earlier week.
Tickets purchased for the original Portsmouth date will remain valid, while supporters wishing to claim a refund can do so up to 48 hours before the rearranged date.
The club have confirmed ticket prices for the Everton cup clash will be priced at £15 for adults, £10 for over-65s and just £5 for under-18s.
