WEST BROM
West Brom are being linked to a host of star names as new boss Tony Pulis prepares to up his recruitment drive over the next two weeks.
In defence, former Tottenham Hotspur star Vedran Corluka has been mooted as a target, with the 28-year-old currently playing in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Baggies scouts have also flown to Spain ran the rule over Brazilian striker Jonathas de Jesus, 25, who is featuring for Elche on loan from Italian outfit Pescara.
And they could yet offer a contract to former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi, 33, who has been released from his contract with Turkish side Gaziantep.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa's move to end winger Scott Sinclair's Manchester City hell appears to have stalled, with the two clubs unable to reach an agreement on a fee.
Villa could have a 'Plan B' in Uruguay winger Cristian Rodriguez with both them and Everton keeping tabs on the 29-year-old, who may be permitted to leave Spanish club Atletico Madrid on loan.
