The Walsall Golf Club member came out on top following two days of high-quality competition at Ingestre Park Golf Club to secure his third title.

The 24-year-old, who was crowned champion in 2009 and 2011, started his route to glory with a 3&2 success over Enville's Jake McGoldrick in the first round.

Sheridan-Mills then battled through a tense clash with Luke Aston (Beau Desert), winning at the first extra hole after trailing by one shot going to the 18th.

The semi-final proved to be a more routine affair as Harrison Quirk (Drayton Park) was beaten 4 & 3.

Fellow county player Jack Gaunt (Drayton Park) awaited in the final with Sheridan-Mills winning by one hole.

Sheridan-Mills has also helped Staffordshire get off to an impressive start in their Midlands League campaign.

The county aces are unbeaten after three games following victories over Shropshire & Herefordshire and Nottinghamshire and a draw with Worcestershire.
