Wolves academy talent being targeted for summer move

Another Wolves academy talent is likely to depart.

A number of clubs are chasing the signature of Wolves’ academy talent Kwasi Senyah, the Express & Star understands.

The 16-year-old midfielder joined Wolves from Coventry in 2024 and has impressed in the club’s academy, leading to interest from a number of clubs.

It is understood Wolves are yet to receive an official approach from any club, however, at his age the player could depart for another club and have compensation between the clubs set by a tribunal.

As a result, reports have suggested that Spurs are advancing in a deal to sign Senyah.

The midfielder has already played for Wolves’ under-21s and has represented England at under-16 level.

Wolves have seen a number of young talents be poached by top Premier League sides in recent years, despite the club offering a pathway to first team football.

Mateus Mane has broken through into the first team with Wolves prepared to give chances to the best academy talents, while others such as Alvin Ayman were taken by other clubs and found it harder to get first team opportunities.

Ayman travelled with the Wolves first team for a Premier League game at Manchester City as a 16-year-old in 2024, but a month later he completed a move to Liverpool.

Other examples include young striker Jashayde Greenwood who joined Chelsea last season and Brayden Clarke who left for Arsenal.
