Defender calls on Wolves to stay cool in 'crazy' Championship

Cesar Peixoto’s team are up to third after Saturday’s win over Cardiff.

Hugo Bueno says Wolves must keep their cool in the “crazy” world of the Championship.

Cesar Peixoto’s team climbed to third in the table with Saturday’s home win over Cardiff City.

But Bueno, who laid on the opener for Fer Lopez, has warned they cannot afford to get carried away with two more matches to come in the next week, away at Bristol City and Wrexham.

"We know this league is a bit crazy, so we can't go crazy with this win,” said the left-back.

“Like the coach says, we have to keep our mental stability to keep going with the same mentality, with the same intensity and doing things right.

"We know every game can be crazy, so we have to do the same as today.”

Wolves downed the Bluebird with a hat-trick of headed goals, recording their biggest win since August.

Bueno’s clever pass for Lopez set the ball rolling with Adam Armstrong and Ladislav Krejci also getting their names on the scoresheet.

Explaining his pass for the opener, Bueno said: "I just kept going and going until I was in a dangerous spot and I saw Fer doing the run, and I thought 'why not? Let's play'.

"It went perfectly and I'm so happy for that. It's nice to open the game like this and getting an assist is also important.

"It gives confidence to everyone, so I'm really happy.

"It's a tough league with a lot of matches, and we have to get used to it.

"We have to recover well and go again. We know it's tough, but we have to do it.

"We're enjoying playing, working hard and winning. Hopefully we can get another win in the next game.”
