Jimenez put on a wrestling mask given to him by WWE star and fellow Mexican Sin Cara after putting Wolves 2-0 up at Wembley, but Deeney scored a penalty as the Hornets completed the comeback to reach the final and said: "I genuinely didn't see that until just now.

"I'm glad he put that mask on. He can wear it out as well now he's a loser.

"Enjoy the mask, but we got the victory."

Deeney did not like the celebration, but says Jimenez, who Wolves are now set to sign permanently for £32million, is a 'top player'.

"It was a good goal. Don't get me wrong, he's a top, top player," said the Watford captain.

"I watch him and I think he's the nuts – he's very good. He plays the No.9 position very well.

"It was a great finish, but I didn't see the mask thing, so I'm quite happy I only saw it now.

"I probably would've lost my head had I saw that. You've got to wear the mask and do all that stuff when you know you're going to win the game."
