The hosts currently sit bottom of the Premier League, with only two victories all season, one of those being the 2-0 victory at Molineux back in November.

But how have the other recent meetings between the two sides gone? Take a look at the past five meetings between the teams.

Wolves 0 Huddersfield Town 2 - 25 November 2018

Mooy adds to Terriers lead (AMA)

The most recent meeting between the sides saw the Terriers run out 2-0 winners at Molineux earlier this season. Two goals from the influential Aaron Mooy guided the visitors to a deserved victory.

Anyone associated with Wolves would probably consider this to be the worst performance of the current campaign, especially in light of the fact Huddersfield have only picked up 11 points all season and are 14 points off safety.

Mooy opened the scoring with a neat finish after only six minutes and then doubled the Terriers lead in the second period with a precise free-kick which squirmed past Rui Patricio.

Wolves 0 Huddersfield Town 1 - 25 April 2017

Paul Lambert's side entered this April clash in 15th position having steered clear of potential relegation trouble.

Huddersfield however found themselves in 3rd, with faint hopes remaining of an automatic promotion place finish.

A fairly limp Molineux performance saw the visitors take all three points courtesy of an Izzy Brown long range effort which beat Wolves goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne.

Wolves pushed hard for an equaliser and went close when Dave Edwards hit the post, however it was the Terriers who were victorious, securing their play off spot.

They went onto clinch promotion that season, beating Reading in the play-off final on penalties.

Huddersfield Town 1 Wolves 0 - 27 August 2016

Town made a superb start to the 2016/17 campaign as they entered this clash in pole position of the Championship.

Wolves, on the other hand, had made a mixed start under the guidance of Walter Zenga, and of course... new ownership.

Inevitably, it was Wolves nemesis Rajiv Van La Parra who scored the decisive goal that day as early as the 6th minute, following up ruthlessly from a rebound off the Wolves post.

Van la Parra, who enjoyed a fruitful relationship with the Molineux faithful during his Wolves career, took great joy in celebrating his winner in front of the travelling support.

Wolves half time substitute Joao Teixeira hit the upright in the second half, and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson went close, however it wasn't to be, and the Terriers continued their impressive early season form.

Huddersfield Town 1 Wolves 0 - 10 February 2016

February 2016 saw a mid table clash between two sides who were experiencing mixed fortunes.

Wolves, who had just sold star striker Benik Afobe, were beginning to lose ground on the play off places and were drifting into mid-table mediocrity.

Town on the other hand, had improved greatly under new boss David Wagner after a very indifferent start to the campaign under Chris Powell.

In a fairly dull game in West Yorkshire, it was Nakhi Wells who remained ice cool in the pivotal moment, and prodded home with only 12 minutes remaining.

Wolves couldn't respond despite some late pressure and therefore continued their slump in form.

Wolves 3 Huddersfield Town 0 - 3 October 2015

This Saturday lunchtime clash was live on TV, and Wolves didn't disappoint in front of the cameras.

Huddersfield had made an indifferent start to the season, whilst Kenny Jackett's Wolves had continued their good league form from the previous campaign.

A first half long range effort from Kevin McDonald handed the hosts the advantage before a second half brace from star striker Benik Afobe clinched the three points for the home side.

Unfortunately for Wolves however, this win was proceeded by three straight league defeats.
