Snow update: Final Wolves decision to be made on Saturday morning
Staff at Molineux will work through the night to try and ensure Wolves' game with Reading goes ahead tomorrow.
Snow has covered the stadium in the past 24 hours and a further deluge is expected on Friday afternoon.
Wolves said the match, which is due to kick off at 5.30pm and is being broadcast live on Sky Sports, is currently set to go ahead.
But a final decision will be made on Saturday morning, depending on how much snow arrives in the coming hours and overnight.
In a statement Wolves said: "Wolves’ operations team, club staff and volunteers have been working extremely hard through the day to ensure that Molineux and the surrounding area is safe for all supporters travelling to the game.
"Unless the weather conditions worsen during the afternoon and evening, club officials will continue to work through the night and the early parts of the morning in a bid to ensure the fixture can be played.
"The Met Office is currently predicting further snowfall around Wolverhampton and the surrounding area later today, however forecasts have been changeable.
"The club’s safety team, in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders including the police and match officials, will reassess the situation throughout today, with the current expectation that a final decision will be made on Saturday morning before issuing further information."
