Wolves set to land Coventry youngster Ben Stevenson
Wolves are poised to sign Coventry City midfielder Ben Stevenson.
It's believed the 20-year-old is undergoing a medical ahead of a permanent switch to Molineux.
It's expected that holding midfielder Stevenson – who has made 48 first team appearances for the Sky Blues – will initially go into the under-23 setup at Wolves.
The Coventry academy product has only played 12 times this season due to injury and slipping down the pecking order at the Ricoh.
Championship side Brentford reportedly bid £750,000 for Stevenson last January before the deal fell through.
The highly-rated Stevenson played 36 times last season including in Coventry's Checkatrade Trophy win over Oxford at Wembley.
Stevenson is said to have impressive technical ability and could play in a more advanced role.
He has said previously: "I am not really a winger, not got the pace for that but I think I could maybe play as an attacking midfielder.
"I feel I could come in to do that job.
"I think I could play as a No.10 but it depends on who we play against and the style of play really."
