John Ruddy

Not at his commanding best and was caught on his line for the equaliser. Produced one of the passes of the season when he released Jota with a low 60-yard clearance. 6/10

Ryan Bennett

Didn't win as many headers as usual on what was a tough afternoon for the back three. 6/10

Conor Coady

Again, not as dominant as he has been. Rooted to the floor when Cooper heads home the equaliser. Some of his distribution was good though. 6/10

Willy Boly

With Boly on the field Wolves had conceded three goals in nine-and-three-quarter matches. Four minutes after he went off injured, they conceded again. Solid enough as usual. Every Wolves fan will be praying he's fit for Bristol. 7/10

Matt Doherty

His best game in recent weeks. Was Wolves best outlet, certainly in the first half when he constantly made himself available down that right flank and overlapped Helder Costa, either as a decoy, to get a shot away (he forced a good save from Jordan Archer) or tee up a team mate. Great energy and awareness. 8/10

Romain Saiss

Scored his third Wolves goal and it was by far his best, a 25-yard beauty. Saiss' long-range shots usually end up in row Z but he caught this sweetly. Millwall were extremely aggressive in midfield and Saiss held his own, although his passing wasn't at its best. 7/10

Ruben Neves

Has there been a better passer of the ball at Wolves in the past 40, even 50 years? This reporter has been watching Wolves since 1991 and apart from Nenad Milijas, who was more inconsistent than Neves (although playing at a higher level) there's no one who comes close in terms of range and vision. Wolves fans of a certain vintage, your thoughts are appreciated in the comments section below. Neves was never going to win the physical battle against a feral and psyched up Millwall but what he did do was admirably compete. Then when given the chance he sprayed the most divine passes to set Doherty and Costa in on goal, while a 50-yard ping to Douglas in the second half drew noises from the press box that should only be heard after the watershed. A special player. 8/10

Barry Douglas

Good set piece deliveries from Douglas and he ventured forward to good effect on a couple of occasions. Otherwise fairly quiet but tidy. Handled Jed Wallace well after the ex-Wolves man made a flying start. 7/10

Helder Costa

A first start since mid-October and he delivered with two assists. The first was a nice burst to the byline before crossing for Jota, the second showed patience, awareness and unselfishness when he kept the ball alive and fed Saiss. Otherwise Costa was quick, lively and positive. However he really should have scored when Neves played him through on goal. That confidence will come, though. Has earned another start at Bristol. 8/10

Ivan Cavaleiro

Off the pace, booked and barely had any moments of note before being withdrawn injured at half time. 4/10

Diogo Jota

Continues to not look himself – it's been a lean few weeks for Jota. Still scored, though (to make it 10 in 25 this season) and came close in the second half when turning Neves' effort goalwards. Looks like he could maybe do with a break. 6/10

Substitutes

Leo Bonatini (for Cavaleiro, 45)

Dropped for the first time in 10 weeks. The last time Nuno did that, Bonatini responded with goals in successive sub appearances to force his way back into the team, but he made no impact on this occasion. 5/10

Roderick Miranda (for Boly, 68)

A dodgy moment immediately when he mis-controlled the ball and put Wolves in trouble. 5/10

Alfred N'Diaye (for Costa, 81)

No impact in the closing stages. 5/10

Subs not used: Norris, Batth, Vinagre, Enobakhare.
