Sky Sports reporter and Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague reports that an approach to Nuno has been made and super-agent Jorge Mendes is listening.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is the overwhelming favourite to take over at Goodison Park, but Nuno's odds have been slashed from 40/1 to 14/1 this morning after a flurry of bets.

Wolves went back to the top of the Championship last night following an excellent 2-0 win at Norwich.

The Molineux men are as short as 1/4 with the bookmakers to return to the Premier League next season.

Nuno has been a revelation since his arrival and it seems unlikely Wolves will listen to offers for their manager if a formal approach is subsequently made.

The 43-year-old has previously managed Valencia and Porto before signing a three-year-deal to become Wolves manager.

Everton have endured a miserable start to the season and currently sit 18th in the table with only two wins all season.

They have struggled with a difficult fixture schedule, but last Sunday's 5-2 home defeat proved to be Ronald Koeman's last.

The Toffees also face a difficult task to progress through the group stages of the Europa League
