Wolves target Benik Afobe 'huge part' of Bournemouth plans
Ex-Wolves striker Benik Afobe remains a 'huge part' of Bournemouth's plans, boss Eddie Howe has insisted.
Wolves made an enquiry in the summer for Afobe, who they sold to the Cherries in January 2016 for £10million.
Afobe has featured six times in the Premier League this season but four of those were substitute appearances and his last start was in August.
There was no deal to be done for Wolves in the summer due to a number of reasons including Afobe's reluctance to drop to the Championship.
However Wolves are likely to enquire again ahead of the January transfer window if Afobe isn't playing regularly for the south coast club.
Howe said: “I don’t know how many appearances Benik has this season but he has been involved in most games. He is a huge part of our plans.
“You always want your players to show the attitude that they want to achieve and I’ve got no problem with any player saying they want to play in any game.”
