Wolves international players making waves on their travels
A number of Wolves players have been in action over the international break including a couple who’ve edged closed to possibly featuring the World Cup next summer.
Romain Saiss played 90 minutes at centre-half as Morocco moved to within a point of reaching Russia 2018 with a 3-0 victory over Gabon.
If Morocco can avoid defeat away at second-placed Ivory Coast next month, a place in the World Cup will be theirs. Saiss also travelled to Switzerland for a 3-1 friendly win against South Korea on Tuesday, but was an unused substitute.
Alfred N’Diaye’s Senegal are also close to qualifying although the midfielder didn’t feature in a crucial 2-0 win at Cape Verde last weekend.
Forgotten man Prince Oniangue got a rare 90 minutes under his belt as Congo, who are already eliminated, lost 2-1 away at Egypt.
Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota both played the full 90 minutes for Portugal Under-21s as they went down 3-1 at Bosnia in a European Under-21 Championship qualifier on Tuesday afternoon.
Duckens Nazon continued his hot scoring streak with a sublime strike for Haiti among two he scored in a 3-3 thriller away at Japan.
Nazon, who is on loan with League Two side Coventry City, has scored six goals in six games for club and country.
Morgan Gibbs-White has played twice for England in the Under-17 World Cup, being played in India.
Gibbs-White came off the bench during England’s 4-0 win against Chile late last week and again as England held off a Mexico fightback to win 3-2.
England’s final group game is against Iraq on Saturday.
