Millwall boss Neil Harris on Wolves: "They'll be right up there"
Millwall boss Neil Harris has become the latest opposition manager to dub Wolves as promotion contenders – believing anyone who finishes above them will go up.
Harris saw his side lose 1-0 at Molineux on Saturday thanks to Diogo Jota's stunning long-range strike.
Hull's Leonid Slutsky and Brentford boss Dean Smith are among those to have already praised Wolves this season.
And Harris said: "It’s a tough place to come. They are a good side. Make no bones in that, they’ll be right up there this season. Anyone who finishes above these will be promoted this year.
"We can take a lot of credit."
Of Jota's goal the Lions chief added: "It’s not bad – is it? It’s a great strike. We make slight errors of judgement or slight mistimed tackles in the middle of the park and at this level the ball ends up in the roof of the net from 25 or 30 yards.
"He’s a super player and it was a goal deserving of winning the game.
"(Millwall keeper Jordan Archer) made one good save and some that I’d expect him to make.
"The boy (Romain Saiss) should score at the end – it’s a great block. Other than that they manipulated the ball into good areas but shots from distance were the order of the day for them.
"I don’t think we gave many shooting opportunities away on the 18-yard line.
"I was really pleased how resolute we were. We’ve only been beaten by a wonder goal from 30 yards."
