John Ruddy

The cross beat him for Hull's first goal but in fairness Hernandez was blocking his path. Produced an outstanding and vital save with the score at 2-1 to deny Fraizer Campbell which earned praise from his boss. An assuring presence at the back, it's hard to believe Wolves were able to land this guy on a free transfer. 7/10

Roderick Miranda

Somehow missed from a yard out when he got underneath his header from a Neves corner. Also got himself in a right muddle in the lead-up to that Campbell chance. Distribution also needs some work but he recovered well after being twice beaten by winger Grosicki early on. Being outshone by Coady and Boly at the moment but he's still finding his feet. 6/10

Conor Coady

Also didn't cover himself in glory for that Campbell chance when allowing the striker to barge past him. But otherwise he kept things simple and tidy and did a good job of covering his team mates. Constantly instructs and encourages throughout the game. The captaincy suits him. 7/10

Willy Boly

Looking more and more like he will boss this division. Reads the game so well and has the physicality to back it up. Was the scourge of danger-man Abel Hernandez on two occasions, when taking the ball off his toe when a tap-in looked certain, and then getting a crucial head on a cross when the striker was set to pounce. 8/10

Matt Doherty

A fairly uneventful evening but did more than his fair share of defensive duties particularly in the second half. As a result he got forward far less than he did at Derby. Partnership with Enobakhare down that right flank continues to bear fruit. 7/10

Ruben Neves

A joy to watch. He really is majestic with the ball at his feet and so quick to spot runners. Vision Express should be all over this guy for their next marketing campaign. Sees things that most players don't. And as for that goal....you won't see many better in the Championship all season. A perfect hit. 8/10

Romain Saiss

The ideal foil for Neves. Picked up a classic Saiss booking for a late tackle in the second half and had to rein it in thereafter. But, unlike last season, he's rarely making mistakes and has cut out those sloppy and lazy passes he had a tendency to do. Much improved. 7/10

Barry Douglas

Got forward plenty in the first half but, like Doherty, the second half was mostly about protecting the lead. Nothing daft or outlandish. He stuck to the gameplan and did it well. 7/10

Bright Enobakhare

Came up with a really special assist for Jota's goal. The easy option was to pass to Doherty but Enobakhare hared past his man, got to the byline and put it on a plate for the Portuguese winger. That end product he's been lacking in his burgeoning Wolves career is finally here. 7/10

Leo Bonatini

A thankless task at times, often playing with his back to goal, but he stuck to his guns and put in a huge effort in what was his fourth start in 11 days. A good fulcrum for the others to play off. 6/10

Diogo Jota

Got on the scoresheet after a couple of near misses in the first two matches. Sprightly and creative, especially in the first half when he came up with a couple of sumptuous passes and embarked on some dazzling runs. Like a few of his team mates he looked fatigued after the break. 7/10

Substitutes

Ivan Cavaleiro (for Enobakhare, 60)

Being kept out the XI by Enobakhare...but there's no sulking from Cavaleiro who has come off the bench to produce a goal and an assist in the past two games. Showed tenacity to win the ball and then play a perfect through ball for Dicko who did the rest. 7/10

Nouha Dicko (for Bonatini, 75)

Missed a sitter when misjudging a free header....then a minute later he sealed the win with his second goal of the season. It was a clinical finish, too. After an immensely frustrating couple of seasons the Dicko of 2014/15 looks to be back with us. 7/10

Ryan Bennett (for Jota, 85)

Shored things up in the closing minutes. N/A
