Tickets sold out for Wolves v Middlesbrough
Wolves' opening day clash against Middlesbrough has sold out, the club have confirmed.
With Boro also having snapped up their full 2,592 allocation Molineux could be set for its biggest crowd since 1981.
Ironically that game was also against Middlesbrough, when 40,524 turned up for an FA Cup sixth round replay which Wolves won 3-1.
The biggest home attendance since then was for last season's FA Cup fifth round defeat to Chelsea, with 30,193 setting a stadium record for the rebuilt Molineux.
Wolves' highest league gate since Molineux's redevelopment is 30,110 for the 6-4 win over Rotherham in 2April 014.
This is the first time Wolves have put the 'sold out' signs up for a league game since the day they lifted the League One title in May 2014 when 29,829 watched a 3-0 win over Carlisle.
Molineux's capacity is currently 31,700 but attendances will always fall slightly short of that due to segregation and also the fact views from a small number of seats in the North Bank quadrant are blocked by the Steve Bull stand.
