Wolves in Austria: Nathan Judah and Tim Spiers' Day 3 diary

Over the hills and far away...its time for Nathan to come out to play.

TS: Have you actually just started your diary with a Teletubbies reference? Is this going on the CBeebies website?

Yes, after two days of being constantly on the move and grabbing a sandwich here and there, it was time to run off some of those carbohydrates.

Seven hours sleep was most welcome although a snoozing Spiers was still in dreamland as I left our apartment and embarked on a magical mystery run.

TS: I needed an extra couple of hours in bed after your snoring kept me up half the night. The walls were shaking. It sounded like Willy Boly working a pneumatic drill.

Thank-you to Twitter follower Oskar who selected that my journey would start with a left-turn...I never looked back.

It was a relaxing morning and early afternoon, which was exactly what I needed after being scared half to death by Spiers during a power cut the night before.

A cheeky Americano in the local cafe brought a smile to the face...especially with the photoshop afterwards...some people really have way too much time on their hands, but it made me laugh.

But the biggest part of the day was of-course Wolves' game with Werder Bremen.

Fans were driving and flying in from all over the country, so we set off early to have a chat and interview a few of the many Wolves heroes.

Being the generous chap that I am, I offered to drive to the ground to give the main man a bit of a break. Let's just say things didn't go according to plan - why are all cars not automatic?

I suspect the other guy will have something to write below.

TS: It's hard to accurately describe what happened here. Readers, I'll post a video on Twitter today once I've found an app to bleep out Judah's swearing, but basically it seems he is incapable of working anything more complicated than an automatic. His first task was to reverse the car out of the parking space...the process began with a noise that sounded like a grunting rhinoceros. Much juddering (or should that be Judah-ing) following as the car stuttered down the slight hill with Judah hitting brake instead of accelerate and via versa, before ending up on a grass verge with both of us in tears of laughter as another car waiting impatiently for what he must have thought was a learner driver to put a car in gear. As it transpires, Judah has been a motorist for 19 years. Yes, he's a special case. Needless to say I ended up driving us to the ground...

Moving on, we arrived in Zell am Ziller for the game and it didn't take long to find the Wolves fans.

The noise and flags were superb, close your eyes and you could have been outside the Billy Wright.

Listening to the length of some of the journeys...13,14,15 hours, just to come for the day? That's why these fans are the best in the league.

TS: A couple of Zell am Ziller bars were completely taken over by happy, singing, bladdered Wolves fans. This is what pre-season is all about. We'd have loved to have joined in the party but sadly it was just the one beer and off to the game.

But if that was the starter, the main course was delicious! A 1-0 win over Werder Bermen was just what doctor Nuno ordered.

With Bremen outnumbering Wolves in support, but not voice...the fans were treated to a very promising all round display which at times made a top Bundesliga side look very average indeed.

Really positive performance from the boys

My love for Willy Boly has been well documented, this guy is the real deal! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Barry Douglas and Jack Price also caught the eye and that boy Neves just oozes class.

Quick chat with some well-oiled fans post match match was an interesting task. One guy nearly fell over midway through the interview, but I'll save that one for the end of year bloopers - you know who you are!

Me and Spiers then did our thing on the middle of the pitch - a video that is. We don't agree on everything, but it is nice to be back on camera and chatting Wolves again with the guy.

TS: This is worth a watch just for seeing Judah trying (and failing) not to smirk after I uttered the line "Will Norris came out".

Although many think we were straight out drinking, unfortunately it was a bottle of sparkling water, ryvita and some cottage cheese awaiting our return.

Still had some graft to do...this column doesn't write itself!

No beers or night out for us, cottage cheese anyone?

We'll be back at training later today so look out for pics and another daily vid.

Many thanks for all the great comments we're getting. Definitely makes the job worthwhile, we're both glad you're enjoying the coverage.

Anyone know where to find an Austrian driving school?
