Wolves in Austria: Ben Marshall flies home, Kortney Hause still with squad
Ben Marshall has flown home from Wolves' tour of Austria with a hip injury.
The midfielder is thought to be out for at least a week and has been sent for assessments today.
His departure was behind the late call-up for Under-23 wing back Aaron Simpson, who joined the squad just before last night's 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen.
Wolves said this evening: "Ben Marshall has flown home from Wolves’ training camp in Austria for further assessment on a hip injury.
"Wolves’ medical team will assess Marshall’s injury further and liaise with a specialist before deciding on the next steps for his recovery.
"As yet there is no timescale on his expected absence from the squad, but the club are hopeful he will return to action as quickly as possible.
"A further update will be provided when more information is known."
Meanwhile Kortney Hause, who missed the Bremen clash, is due back in training after only suffering a minor knock.
He should be back for Saturday's game against Viktoria Plzen.
Marshall joins Helder Costa and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh on the sidelines with the season just over three weeks away.
