Sky Bet have installed Wolves as 6/4 favourites to sign the striker, with West Brom quoted at a distant 16/1 to pull off the deal.

However despite the listing it's believed that Wolves have no interest in re-signing Afobe, either via a permanent or loan move.

Wolves fans still have fond memories of the DR Congo international during his time at Molineux after netting 22 Championship goals in just 46 appearances.

And with Jermain Defoe joining the likes of Josh King and Callum Wilson at Dean Court, Afobe could see limited game time.

It was an acrimonious ending to his Wolves career with the 24-year-old unhappy at club comments that he forced a move to the Premier League.

Bournemouth will be looking to recoup the majority of the £10m they paid Wolves for the forward in January 2016.

Afobe hasn't quite lived up to expectations at Dean Court, netting 10 times in 47 appearances and is set to be the odd man out.

Bookies still quote 1/3 that Afobe stays at Bournemouth.
