Wolves

Wolves have been listed as 6/1 second favourites to sign Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga this summer.

Assombalonga has a stunning strike-rate, with 30 goals coming in just 65 Championship games for Forest.

They could face stiff competition from Gary Monk's Middlesbrough as the Teessider's look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

West Brom

West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing former striker Chris Wood from Leeds United.

Huddersfield Town are also reported to be interested in bringing Wood the short distance to the Terriers, but Tony Pulis’ men are said to be in the driving seat.

The Baggies are also keen on Manchester United's Chris Smalling, who may become available after Jose Mourinho signed Victor Lindelof from Benfica for £30.7million.

However, Smalling is also interesting Arsenal and Everton, and Albion's hierarchy are acutely aware that those top-seven clubs will be a more preferable destination for the 27-year-old.

Aston Villa

Leeds United have joined Aston Villa, Sunderland and a number of Premier League clubs in the race to sign £5m-rated out-of-favour Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone this summer.

The former Preston North End man kept eight clean sheets and conceded 25 goals in 21 Championship games, including a run of letting in just one goal in eight league matches.

Walsall

Goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin continues to be linked with a move to Walsall following his release by Burton Albion this summer.

McLaughlin's three-year stay will be over at the end of his current contract this month, with the 29-year-old now a free agent ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
