The full-back will be looking to win his first senior cap as the 37-man squad fly to New York on May 29 ahead of a friendly against Mexico on June 1 at MetLife Stadium.

They will then return for the 'Three' International Friendly with Uruguay (June 4) at the Aviva Stadium before facing Austria on June 11.

Doherty has been capped at U19 and U21 level and will be looking to impress following an indifferent Wolves campaign.

He is joined in the squad by West Brom's James McClean , Albion loanee Marc Wilson and Aston Villa's Conor Hourihane.
