Jurgen Klopp's Reds edged past League Two side Plymouth Argyle in a third round replay at Home Park last night, winning 1-0 thanks to Lucas Leiva's first half header.

Liverpool will now host Wolves at Anfield in the next round on Saturday January 28. The game will kick off at 12.30pm and be broadcast live on BT Sport.

Tickets go on sale at 10am today (Thursday) for Wolves fans with 1,100 loyalty points.

It is anticipated that all 8,300 tickets will sell out in the coming days. If so it would be Wolves biggest away following since 8,800 took over Milton Keynes in March 2014 for Wolves' 1-0 victory at MK Dons, on their way to the League One title.

Wolves took 4,600 fans to Stoke City for their 2-0 third round win earlier this month.

Klopp, a friend of Wolves boss Paul Lambert owing to their Borussia Dortmund connections, fielded a young side at Home Park last night, albeit littered with first team players Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.

And the German may play a number of youngsters against Wolves as Liverpool's fixture congestion increases.

The Reds host Southampton in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi final next Wednesday (25).

And then just three days after facing Wolves they take on leaders Chelsea on Tuesday (31) in what could be a crunch clash in the Premier League title race.

Wolves last travelled to Anfield in September 2011 when a Roger Johnson own goal and a Luis Suarez strike helped Liverpool to a 2-1 win, with Steven Fletcher on target for Mick McCarthy's team.

A season earlier Stephen Ward was the hero when Wolves beat Roy Hodgson's Liverpool 1-0.

Anfield's capacity rose last year to 54,074 when the new Main Stand was rebuilt, adding 8,500 extra seats.
