What's your verdict on the match? A truly wonderful day not seen for some time and Wolves' first win on actual FA Cup third Round day since 2008 when we beat Cambridge United 2-1, plus our first progress to the fourth round since beating Doncaster Rovers 5-0 in a replay in 2011.

It was another enjoyable away day and these are, believe it or not, becoming a lot more frequent than we might recall.

Stoke were only ever going to play one way when they named Crouchy in their team and he had their only chance in the first half.

Half time substitute Charlie Adam's first two balls in the second half were to the clouds but the Wolves collective defensive rearguard performed heroically, helped in no small way by the magnificent Carl Ikeme who pulled off numerous great saves from some certain goalbound efforts.

Neither the returning Iorfa or Hause caused me any panic, perhaps it was the calming influence of Mike Williamson's first game as a permanent Wolves signing, either way, well done that defence.

The Saville and Evans midfield combo looked tight and compact. Bodvarsson was his usual energetic self, particularly with a couple of good shots early on. Enobakhare was as Bright as ever (hope his injury clears up quickly).

Excellent take by Costa for his goal from Doherty's searching ball to him. Mason, full of running, but failed to find any goal chances. On the hand, substitute Nouha Dicko nearly grabbed his first since coming back from injury.

Finally congratulations to Morgan Gibbs-White on his debut - another promising talent from the academy who didn't look out of place.

All in all a good day's work, come on you Wolves, who do we want next in the cup?

Who played well - and who didn't impress? My stand-out was Matt Doherty and that had been decided well before his rasping free kick winner.

What's your verdict on the match? And that's what it's all about.

A Premier League club away, 4,632 sold out allocation and players willing to throw themselves in the way of anything that approached our goal.

A team with six or so changes took their chances and two superb goals effectively won it.

A double Icelandic clap rounded it off and a brilliant 47th minute tribute to a sadly missed Wolf who was taken too soon. That one was for you Howie.

Who played well - and who didn't impress? Carl Ikeme was simply brilliant, especially in the second half and Williamson talked himself and his defensive colleagues through the game - something that we have sorely missed.
