Ebanks-Landell has earned rave reviews during a loan spell with Sheffield United, who are due to keep him for the rest of the season.

Wolves have the option of recalling the 24-year-old Smethwick-born player in January.

Lambert said: "I wanted to see Ethan in training for a couple of days.

"I've been really impressed by his demeanour and his talking on the training pitch.

"He's our player. I went to watch him against Walsall, a game that they lost and he played in a back three, which we don't.

"But I was impressed by his communication, his demeanour and his attitude, which were all excellent.

"I'll have a look at him on Wednesday and he'll go back to Sheffield United and I'll try and watch him.

"I don't want to bring him back if he's not going to play.

"That would be detrimental to him, I want him to keep playing."

Ebanks-Landell has played 17 times for the Blades this season, scoring four goals.
