Kenny Jackett welcomes Swansea test for Wolves
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett plans to name a strong side for tomorrow's friendly against Swansea - and also hopes to test his new youngsters against Premier League opposition.
Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin brings his top-flight team to Molineux for what Jackett hopes will be a competitive final friendly of pre-season.
The likes of Andre Ayew, Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge, as well as new signings midfielder Leroy Fer (from QPR) and defender Mike van der Hoon (from Ajax).
The top-flight side are, like Wolves somewhat depleted up front with Bafetimbi Gomis close to joining Marseille.
Ashley Williams, Neil Taylor and Gylfi Sigurdsson have yet to feature for the Swans in pre-season having been given time off following their European Championship exertions for Wales and Iceland, and aren't expected to play.
However Poland goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has returned to the squad.
As for Wolves, in the absence of new signings Jackett is expected to name a similar XI to the one that drew 0-0 at Port Vale last week.
Captain Danny Batth should play after missing that game through illness, while David Edwards is in with a chance of featuring after returning from holiday following his Wales exertions.
Jackett said ahead of the match: "It has been a good pre-season and we have had the chance to alternate our team and give different players an opportunity.
"In some games we have fielded a very young team and pre-season is always the time of year when you can do that and have a look at a few players to see how they step up.
"I will be naming a strong side although at some point it may be that our young players are also given an opportunity to see how they perform at Molineux against a Premier League side.
"Swansea are now an established side in the top division and they are well known for trying to play good, attacking football.
"It should provide us with just the sort of test we need before the season starts with Rotherham, and then a packed August programme to follow."
