Kenny Jackett's squad will travel to Cork from July 17-22.

While there they will face Cork City in a friendly on the evening of Monday July 18.

The squad will be based at the Fota Island Resort - the same facility being used by the Republic of Ireland squad in the lead-up to this summer's European Championships.

Jackett said of the trip: "The facilities we are heading to come very well recommended.

"It is a good training base, with excellent facilities, and the Republic of Ireland team will be using the same base before they go to the European Championships – that shows you the quality of the place.

"It will be a good fixture for us to play against Cork City at the start of the week as we continue our preparations for the new season."

Wolves have moved to announce the details early this year after problems with last summer's arrangements.

The pre-season trip to Clairefontaine in France had been announced on May 14 but ticket details for supporters weren't finalised until mid-June just weeks before two friendlies took place.

Fans are this year being offered a travel package of two nights from July 18-20 for £379 which includes a ticket to the game against Cork, flights, hotel, airport transfers and access to players at the training camp.

The 2016/17 Championship season kicks off on Saturday August 6, with the fixtures for the new campaign set to be announced on June 22.
