Kenny Jackett: Wolves deserved nothing
Boss Kenny Jackett admitted Wolves deserved nothing out of the game as they went down 2-1 at Leeds at Elland Road.
Jackett's side fell to their second successive away defeat by that scoreline – although unlike as at Hull, this was no hard luck story.
Goals from Sol Bamba and Toumani Diagouraga put Steve Evans' team 2-0 up.
And despite a late flourish with George Saville pulling one back and then Joe Mason spurning an excellent chance, Wolves went home pointless.
Jackett said: "It was a fair result. I don't think we did enough to get enough out of the game. Leeds had more shots than us from start to finish.
"Overall we didn't do enough to win the game.
"I felt the first 20 minutes was our best period and we should have been ahead.
"After that Leeds slowly got their way back into the game.
"At the start of the second half it built up and built up. The first goal was a great strike from the centre half and they had some pressure then.
"It looked like the goal was coming.
"We came back into it and got a good goal through Saville, a very good finish with his right foot which I was pleased with, and that's four goals for him now.
"We created one other real clear-cut chance with Mason.
"But Leeds also had a lot of shots, hit the woodwork twice and on the balance of play I didn't think we did enough to negate them, or create clear cut chances ourselves to get back into the game."
Jack Price impressed in midfield but Wolves again lacked creativity.
And Jackett revealed he's looking to engineer a different formation with two in midfield in a bid to increase the amount of chances Wolves create.
"He has to keep going and keep working hard as we're aspiring to get to two in midfield to increase our attacking options towards the end of the season," he said.
"We're learning things from these games. (But) it was relatively easy for them to get shots in off not much play.
"We didn't counter their full backs well enough, we didn't get across and block them well enough.
"That's two successive 2-1 defeats away from home. Although that's close it's not as close as we want to be."
