Video: Kenny Jackett bemoans 'flat' Wolves

Boss Kenny Jackett admitted Wolves didn't get it right against Ipswich as they were pegged back in a dour 0-0 stalemate.

A game of very few chances, particularly for Wolves, got the result it deserved - the fifth goalless draw of the season at Molineux.

And Jackett, while pleased with his team defensively, said Wolves lacked creativity going forward.

He said: "It felt quite flat. That is our performance. We were battling and the back four did well and limited them to very few clear cut chances.

"But, going forward as a team, we didn't get it right today. It was hard to get our passing game going.

"We didn't get any flow, physically they were on top of us, closing us down, we were unable to get the ball in behind some very good defenders, up until the last period where James Henry got on the ball.

"It was frustrating today. While we're pleased defensively, we want more.

"(It's about) finding a balance between being defensively good, and being 'in' games, and then getting some football going, getting in down the sides, to be able to get our forwards in one v one situations.

"I felt defensively we did well. I was pleased with the back four who looked quite cohesive and competitive - and needed to be, because Ipswich would have swept us way."

Jackett was pleased with the display from second half substitute Henry, making his comeback after six weeks out.

He added: "Henry was encouraging and we have missed him.

"Hopefully now he can stay back and offer the type of creativity that he did, because he looked a threat."

Wolves travel to Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday and then host Blackburn at Molineux on Saturday, with Jackett hoping to extend a four-game unbeaten run.

He said: "We want to build, we want to improve and to show optimism for the future.

"The two week break didn't do us any favours. We're pleased to have a game on Tuesday.

"We have to keep working away, take what we've got - and we're not getting beat too many times - but then ultimately set our standards higher going forward and be more creative."
