Michael Zyro shone on his home debut at Molineux, netting in the sixth minute and adding another in the 13th for good measure.
It set Wolves up for a victory that was tenser in the closing stages than it needed to be, with Fulham hitting back twice late on.
The visitors were back in it when Lasse Vigen Christensen easily headed home Jazz Richards' cross.
Matt Doherty extended Wolves' lead with a spectacular long-range goal, but Ross McCormack's strike set up a tense finale.
The result means Wolves have now won four consecutive league matches and move up to 10th in the table.
