Ethan Ebanks-Landell has Wolves goals
Defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell hopes to establish himself in the Wolves starting line-up and help the team climb the Championship.
The centre-half was man of the match as Kenny Jackett's side earned their third consecutive win with a 1-0 success at Brighton on Friday.
It was also the team's third clean sheet in a row, on the back of leaking seven in two games against Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday.
And Ebanks-Landell hailed the new-found stability which has been the foundation on which nine points from three matches have been accrued.
He said: "I don't think all that much has changed but, as soon as we got that first clean sheet, we got more confidence.
"When you are defending so much like we were (at Brighton) it is sometimes easier to stay switched on than when you have a lot of the ball and then have to defend.
"You have to believe in yourself and sometimes we had maybe been a bit soft in our defending – we conceded one and then more followed.
"We haven't conceded a goal yet (in this run) so we don't know how we'll react – I like to think we'll be solid."
Wolves travel to West Ham in the FA Cup this Saturday before home league games against Fulham and Cardiff.
With Kortney Hause still injured and a deal to sign Mike Williamson not yet completed, Ebanks-Landell knows the shirt is his to lose.
The 23-year-old said: "I'm still learning, 100 per cent, even though I'm a bit older than some, a few of the younger lads have probably played more games than me.
"You can never learn too much. We say what we need to at the right times but we're still together."
Is there anyone in particular who has influenced his game? He said: "The big man in goal, Carl Ikeme, he doesn't say much but when he talks, you listen.
"I feel like in the changing room we're a close bunch, it's easy for me to get in. Obviously my aim now is to finish the season (in the team) and help Wolves get as high as we can in the league.
"We haven't conceded in the last three but have to make sure that if we do we are stronger for how we have come through.
"Even though we haven't had as much of the ball as we would have liked, we are playing with a lot of confidence.
"I think the last week says a lot about the team as a whole – it's not just the defence – everyone has to pull together."
