Boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed Wolves will go back in for the Newcastle defender next month.
The 32-year-old enjoyed a productive five-game loan spell at Molineux, before being recalled by Magpies chief Steve McClaren due to a defensive shortage.
However, as reported last week, Newcastle seem prepared to allow Williamson to leave the club on a permanent deal in January.
Williamson is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that has prevented him appearing for Newcastle since his recall, but will return to fitness shortly.
