Video: Jackett and Graham on Wolves win
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett hailed his team's new-found defensive solidity as they won their second game in 48 hours to climb the Championship table.
A second consecutive clean sheet – on the back of conceding seven in two before that – helped Wolves to a 2-0 victory over Charlton at the Valley.
Jordan Graham and a Harry Lennon own goal proved to be the difference, with Wolves climbing to 11th in the league as a result, six points off the play-offs and 10 ahead of the relegation zone.
Jackett said: "For that back four I'm very pleased. Two clean sheets in two games – I don't think Charlton had a chance or a decent effort.
"That's given us a bedrock to go on in terms of our play, our competitiveness and a foothold in the game in what is a very powerful division."
Wolves were roared on by almost 2,000 away supporters, whom Jackett felt made a big difference.
He said; "Going to our own fans (in the second half), the support was fantastic.
"For the numbers to come and fill the end like they did, I always thought going towards our own supporters in the 2nd half we would get chances if we were competitive at the back.
"We got seven goals past us in two games, which obviously knocks everybody's confidence and takes a lot away going forward. We had to start there and it's been two good clean sheets."
Graham's goal was his first in Wolves colours. He also provided the assist for the second from his left-wing corner.
Jackett said of the 20-year-old: "James Henry's a strong crosser for us, on the far post, we've been saying that all season to a number of people.
"On the far post for the wide left player there's goals, so I'm pleased he got into that area for his first Wolves goal.
"Hopefully it's the first of many and it was a good assist for the second, a quality ball in."
Wolves now travel to Brighton on New Year's Day with a spring in their step.
They will do so without Grant Holt, whose loan deal has ended early, Jackett confirmed, but Jack Price could return after missing the Charlton win through illness.
Jackett added: "It's been a good weekend for us, we feel we're on the right lines defensively. We have to recognise what we're doing well and keep doing more of the same.
"I did have thoughts about changing the team (with two games in 48 hours) but in the end wanted to trust the players we have.
"So much of energy is confidence. I was confident of them going again, it took a day or two to assess them but all of them this morning were keen to play."
