The two sides will meet again at Molineux on Tuesday week after neither could make the breakthrough at Craven Cottage.

And head coach Jackett said: "I thought we played well and I was pleased with how we played.

"We created numerous chances, their goalkeeper made two terrific saves. One he touched on to the post from Sako in the first half and then the one from James Henry.

"They were excellent saves, but it was a very good performance. The replay is what it is and we look forward to it a week on Tuesday."

Leon Clarke, who was selected in front of Nouha Dicko up front, missed the best chance of the game when he shot wide with the goal gaping after Bakary Sako's shot had been tipped onto the post.

Jackett added: "It came at him very quick. It was the standout chance of the game.

"We would have all loved him to put it in and I'm sure he would have but that's forwards and you have to take those on the chin when they come."

Fulham could have stolen it at the end when Seko Fofana went through late on, but goalkeeper Carl Ikeme saved.

Jackett said: "It was probably the first shot on target they had. Their goalkeeper had made a couple of very good saves and we didn't need ours until 86 minutes.

"Even so, Carl did very well stayed up and didn't go down and did enough to contain the opportunity which was probably their best opportunity of the game."
