Wolves' £2.4m signing-in-waiting Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson today insisted he has no problem continuing to turn out for Lillestrom – despite admitting playing against the wishes of his agent.

The 21-year-old scored in Lillestrom's 3-0 Norwegian Cup win over Kisa on Wednesday after agreement was reached with Wolves over the weekend.

Sigurdarson will move to Wolves after July 13, providing he comes through unscathed from his last three league games for Lillestrom.

The Norwegian club has taken out insurance in the event of Sigurdarson becoming injured, covering Wolves against any financial liability.

Wednesday's third-round tie didn't form part of the agreement, and the Iceland international revealed he played despite his agent, Jerry de Koning, advising him not to.

"I look forward to carrying on playing," said Sigurdarson. "Jerry thought it would be best if I didn't play, since it's a big contract in Wolverhampton. I listened to him. Money doesn't mean so much to me.

"It's the desire to play in a bigger league that's most important to me. But I know the games mean a lot to LSK.

"The desire to play for LSK was so great that after training on Tuesday, I reported on Wednesday ready to play against Kisa.

"I don't think about doing any damage at all. It's not possible to run around and fear injury.

"I have no problem playing the games. I love to play football.

"I'm going to give everything for the LSK in the games I play."
