Thomas Hitzlsperger has held talks with Wolves – but it remains to be seen whether he will sign for the club.
The former Villa midfielder was at Molineux for discussions with manager Mick McCarthy yesterday but the man nicknamed 'Der Hammer'- for his ferocious shot - left without signing or having a medical.
A free agent after activating a relegation clause in his three-year contract at West Ham at the end of the season, Hitzlsperger is also the subject of interest from Fulham and Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers and he wants to speak to them first.
And McCarthy, who wants Liverpool youngster Jay Spearing on a season-long loan, is still looking at different signing options and Hitzlsperger fits his criteria of having Premier League experience.
Just eight days ago, the 29-year-old escaped a driving ban after claiming he needed his car to drive around the country to look for a new club.
Instead, Hitzlsperger was fined £750 and was given six penalty points by Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court, after driving his Range Rover at 107mph.
