West Brom place a freeze on season ticket prices

West Brom today announced a freeze on season ticket prices for next season.

The Baggies will keep this season's rates in place for the next campaign after they cut adult prices by around £50 across the board last summer.

Season tickets went on sale today and the freeze will apply to all fans who commit by June 3 with the club keeping open the option of an increase from June 4.

Chief executive Mark Jenkins said: "The price of attending football matches is very topical at the moment and we hope the fact we've frozen our prices, on the back of making big reductions last summer, will be welcomed by our supporters.

"The team are making good progress on the field, having been placed in the top half of the table for the entire campaign so far, and the supporters have played a big part in our excellent home record.

"We hope the team's performances, the prospect of a fourth successive season of Barclays Premier League football and a pricing structure which compares favourably with clubs of our size, will give season ticket holders a real incentive to renew and also encourage other supporters to become season ticket holders."

The Baggies sold more than 18,000 season tickets last summer after the price cut, which also saw them raise the age ceiling on junior categories to allow more youngsters and students to benefit from concessionary prices.

Adult prices will again start at £349, under-17s at £99, under-21s and students at £199 and pensioners at £269 if purchased online.

Fans who buy in person, by post or by phone will pay £10 more and existing season ticket holders must renew by June 3 to guarantee their current seat.
