The Baggies secured the goalkeeper on a permanent six-month deal until the end of the season following his departure from Bristol City.

Albion had been awaiting confirmation from the EFL that O'Leary’s registration had been completed in time for him to feature in Friday's fixture. It has now been confirmed that the application was submitted before Thursday's midday deadline, making him eligible for selection.

O'Leary arrives to challenge for the No.1 spot under new boss Eric Ramsay.

The 25-year-old, a one-cap Republic of Ireland international, was Bristol City's first-choice goalkeeper for the last three seasons, racking up over 150 Championship appearances. He lost his starting spot last season to Manchester United loanee Radek Vitek before departing for Albion.
