Lewis Cox's predicted West Brom line-up: Changes and availability boost in desperate push to respond

It is quite simple - Albion need to respond.

Whether that leads to a positive result, a victory, a hard-working draw or even another worrying, but significantly-improved spirited defeat, there needs to be a response.

Tuesday night against Norwich was as bad as it gets and for many Albion players it could be seen as unforgivable. Some of those players have to go some to respond in the eyes of Baggies supporters.

Derby away is always a concerning fixture to the Albion faithful. New boss Eric Ramsay, who has presided over two home defeats since his appointment, will want at the very minimum his first point on the board as head coach.

He could be boosted availability-wise in the east Midlands on Friday night.

New signing Max O'Leary could be set to start between the sticks if his registration with the EFL was completed before midday on Thursday. That remains to be seen, and then it will be interesting as to whether he immediately deputises for Josh Griffiths.

Ousmane Diakite is back and has trained and available to feature. Albion have not yet had a natural central midfielder start under Ramsay.
