Lewis Cox's predicted West Brom team for six-pointer with Norwich: Formation thoughts and midfield boost?

Albion's visit of Norwich on Tuesday is one of the club's biggest fixtures in years as they seek to pull clear of the Championship drop zone.

New boss Eric Ramsay is immediately thrust into a huge clash in a bid to move away from the lower reaches of the second tier after his debut at the helm ended in a late 3-2 home defeat.

Friday's opener was a difficult assignment against second-placed Middlesbrough and Ramsay's set-up - loosely described as 3-4-3 with two central attackers in support of one striker - drew no shortage of debate.

Albion's wide players in that system, Mikey Johnston and Samuel Iling-Junior, are attackers by nature and the former is Albion's creator-in-chief. Johnston had a bright start but faded as he dropped deep.

Ramsay told the Express & Star afterwards the idea is for players out wide, if attackers by trade, to be on the front foot and found in high areas.

Tuesday's visitors Norwich are clearly in much better form - with five wins in eight - than their position of 22nd suggests but the onus is on Albion to win games, particularly at home.

It will be interesting to see whether Ramsay maintains the system, I expect him to do so. It is the shape that brought him success in his previous role at Minnesota.

I've made tweaks to the starting line-up though, two changes to be exact, injuries and availability permitting. It has also helped shuffle one or two into natural role.
