New date for West Brom's trip to Birmingham City confirmed after FA Cup-enforced switch as EFL make 2026/27 call
Albion's February schedule has been cleaned up after a change owing to progress in the FA Cup.
The Baggies, under the new management of Eric Ramsay, were due to visit Birmingham City on Saturday, February 14.
But that weekend will see fourth round action take place in the FA Cup, in which Albion have been drawn away at Championship rivals Norwich.
Ramsay's side will instead make the long trip to Carrow Road, but the specific day of the fourth round tie has yet to be confirmed with broadcast decisions to be finalised. Albion came through the third round on penalties away to another divisional rival, Swansea.
The short trip to local rivals Blues has instead been moved forward to earlier in the week to a Tuesday night, on February 10.
Chris Davies' hosts, in their first season back in the Championship, currently sit 14th, three points better off than the Baggies.
Albion were not due to be in action that midweek and the clash at St Andrew's not falls in between a home clash against Stoke on February 7 and the FA Cup trip to Norfolk.
Televised Championship fixtures have been confirmed until the end of February, with the broadcast changes to the schedule for March expected soon.
The EFL confirmed this week that start dates for next season's 2026/27 campaign will begin with a weekend of EFL Cup first round action on the weekend of August 7-9.
The Championship, League One and League Two seasons will begin the following weekend, August 14-16.
