Seven-Seven, who is a first-year scholar, fired a brace for Leigh Downing's outfit in the resounding success over the young Tractor Boys in Suffolk.

Harry French was also on target for the travelling Baggies, who raced into a 3-0 half-time lead.

Left-back Alfie Maughan, who signed a professional contract this summer, scored his side's fourth before substitute Ryan Colesby rounded off the scoring inside the final 10 minutes.

Seven-Seven, who trains with the squad number 77, scored a fine solo goal in the seventh minute to open the scoring in the under-18s Premier League South curtain-raiser.

He raced down the left flank and into the penalty area before converting a fine dinked finish over the hosts' goalkeeper.

Seven-Seven - who was one of 13 teens to agree scholarship deals for this season - fired in a low finish from close range just before half hour to double the Baggies' lead.

He went close to a first-half hat-trick minutes before the interval but was denied, only for French to be on hand to convert the rebound.

Maughan fired a fine left-footed strike across goal and into the far corner shortly after the restart after being picked out by Adam Letlat's diagonal pass. Sub Colesby pounced on a loose ball in the closing stages to add more gloss to the scoreline.

The junior Baggies are in action at home to Brighton on Saturday, at the club's training ground. The under-18s finished bottom of the Premier League South last term but did reach the quarter-final of the FA Youth Cup, where they were beaten 6-0 by holders Manchester City.
