Lewis Cox's predicted West Brom line-up at Wrexham - time for Campbell?

Albion head on the road for the first time this season with a reshuffle needed from last weekend's opening day for life without Torbjorn Heggem.

Working on the theory of Ryan Mason's selection from Tuesday's encouraging display despite penalty shootout exit against Derby, it could be time for George Campbell to step forward as the Baggies head to ambitious Championship new boys Wrexham.

The summer recruit was a late substitute in the victory against Blackburn last weekend but is the likely successor to move into the starting line-up with star defender Heggem on the verge of a £10million move to Bologna.

Campbell, 24, the £1.5m recruit from Montreal in Canada, partnered Caleb Taylor and both caught the eye in midweek cup action against the Rams. The smart money is on the one-cap United States international to partner Nat Phillips, who was so influential last weekend.

Albion are set to complete the signing of Birmingham City defender and club captain Krystian Bielik on Thursday and I don't see a reason why the experienced Pole, 27, could not come in to take a place on the bench with the Baggies light in that department.

A busy period of transfers also looks like seeing Manchester United midfield prospect Toby Collyer, 21, arrive on a season-long loan. That move is not yet finalised but it is understood the Baggies are leading the long queue for Collyer's signature and it could be done in time for the weekend.

Otherwise Albion see right-back Darnell Furlong return to contention after his one-match midweek cup suspension.
