Attacker Divine Onyemachi, who turned 18 last week, has completed a move to Serie A side Lecce after exiting the Baggies academy.

Onyemachi, who only spent two years in Albion's youth set-up, is predominantly a left-sided attacker but is seen as a versatile forward options who caught the eye at the club's academy.

He will initially join up with Lecce's youth side at under-20 level.

He was one of 10 academy graduate offered new senior contracts in the summer. Just two, Onyemachi and fellow attacker Reyes Cleary - who joined League One Barnsley - opted to depart.

Onyemachi enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for Leigh Downing's side last term and scored 20 goals in 41 appearances for the under-18s. The form saw the attacker feature for the higher-aged under-21s group.

The teen - who moved from London to the Black Country in 2023 from private footballing academy 'XYZ Academy' - was never involved in senior action for Albion.

His new club Lecce successful fought against relegation last term and previously won the Serie B title in 2022.
