The Baggies boss snapped up 35-year-old free agent Tyrone Mears earlier this week to plug a gap at right-back and provide competition for Matt Phillips.

But he’s still keen to strengthen and hopes that signing has not concluded his business for the week.

“I still hope to bring some more in if it’s possible,” he said. “We’re always looking to strengthen for the season ahead.

“So if it’s possible, with the window looming on Friday, that we can do some business, then we’ll do some business.”

Moore has also been fielding a number of offers from lower league clubs to take Albion’s promising youngsters out on loan.

The Baggies boss refused to divulge whether any would be leaving after the 2-1 win over Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup but confirmed he would mull over the offers before Friday’s 5pm deadline.

“There is a lot of interest with our young players going out on loan,” he said. “We’ll discuss those in next 24-48 hours.

“There’s been a lot of interest for our younger players, which is testament to them, and the academy who have worked incredibly hard over the years

“We’ve seen this week with how the academy graduates performed on the pitch that it is in healthy shape.”

Nacer Chadli could also leave this week with the European window still open, and it’s believed the Belgian is keen to exit.

But as it stands, Moore is planning to have him available this season.

“Chadli is getting fitter, he’s back in training,” said Moore. “As the days go by he’s getting ever closer to full fitness.”
