Darren Fletcher: West Brom aren't far away from refinding form
West Brom captain Darren Fletcher is not too concerned by Albion's recent form, because of the good positions they have been getting themselves into.
The Baggies are enduring their worst spell of the campaign having lost five of their last seven matches – the latest being a 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool on Sunday.
And although they have also failed to find the net in six of those matches, Fletcher believes the signs are there that Albion are not too far away from a return to winning ways.
"We've got to take our chances in the Premier League," he said. "This recent run has been disappointing but we've been getting into good positions. We'll keep battling as long as there's points to play for."
Albion had arguably shaded the first half of their clash with Liverpool before Roberto Firmino netted right on the stroke of half-time.
And Matt Phillips then missed a glorious chance to level late on when denied by Simon Mignolet.
"It was a tight game and I thought we had the better chances overall," said Fletcher. "We're disappointed with the goal we conceded, too. We gave it a right good go but ultimately we've lost the game so credit to Liverpool."
With Manchester City in FA Cup action this weekend, Albion's next match is not until April 29, when they host Leicester.
