Tony Pulis at Peace with Jeremy as Brendan Rodgers linked to Albion
Tony Pulis reiterated he has a good relationship with Jeremy Peace amid rumours the Albion chairman is interested in Brendan Rodgers, should he need a new head coach.
The Welshman is due to meet with Peace after the season finishes on Sunday, and will try to persuade his chairman to extend his contract beyond summer 2017.
Albion haven't won any of their last eight games and have scored just three goals during that barren spell.
The season has fizzled out dramatically and if Pulis doesn't beat Liverpool this Sunday he will fail to match last season's tally of 44 points after spending £32.5m last summer.
Rodgers worked with Albion's new technical director Nick Hammond at Reading for six months, and is currently out of work but eager to return.
However, Peace sees Pulis as a safe pair of hands who guarantees survival year in, year out. And the Baggies' head coach claims their relationship is strong.
"I get on very well with Jeremy. I've found him to be a very honest, straight-forward guy and he tells you how it is," said Pulis.
"There's no messing around. If there's money to spend, there's money to spend, if there's not, there's not.
"He's been very good, very straight. Sometimes you don't like what he says but I prefer him saying it than saying it's there and not giving it to you."
Neither James Morrison nor Stephane Sessegnon were named in the squad for the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth, and both players are out of contract this summer.
"It's nothing at all to do with new contracts," said Pulis. "Morrison's been out for 17 weeks, he's not fit to play yet. Sess came in on Friday ill and the doc didn't want him to travel."
